• Computation of taxes owed by the organization to the government and preparation of tax returns

• Inspection of account books and maintenance of financial records.

• Working knowledge of accounting software

Accounting Education and Qualification

The education and qualification requirements for an accounting professional are as follows:

• High school diploma for accounting clerks.

• A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.

• Licensed Certified Public Accountants (CPAs)

• Other certification like Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Personal Financial Specialist (PFS)

• 0-5 years of relevant work experience.
