He may work for government agencies or private organisations and help to study samples from the environment which can be used for determining a particular solution. For example, they can work for a company which produces or uses certain chemicals and an environmental analyst will study how those chemicals influence the environment, can they cause any harm or long-term problems. They may also study the rocks, soil and natural phenomenon and the government may create its policies depending on the results of those analytical reports.
