A biomedical technician is an individual who is responsible for installation, calibration, adjusting, repairing and performing maintenance of medical equipments used for the process of diagnosis. They have to work in a laboratory, hospital or a health service provider facility. They are in charge of maintenance of variety of equipments like ultrasound machines, heart monitors, x ray machines, defibrillators, dialysis machines and electronic wheelchairs. They also have to be proficient with tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes and also need to perform the working of repairing these tools.
