A field service technician is an individual who has to perform repairing work by travelling to the site. Their job is to troubleshoot any problems arising in the equipments. A field service technician may be working in an organization specializing in manufacturing technical product or for a group of repairmen.

They are responsible for maintaining and repairing all the makes and models of a particular type of product. The various kinds of equipments repaired by a field service technician include security systems, computer equipments, televisions, stereos, appliances and heating units.
