Company Mail Utility Clerk Job Description and Profile

Under general supervision, the job of Company Utility Clerk entails delivering mail and related supplies to departments of the company. He performs inventory maintenance and storekeeping as well as maintenance and repair work. He is also assigned to areas in support services. He likewise performs a variety of related tasks and duties as well.

Duties and Specifications

  • Collects and meters mails, whether registered, certified mail and first class.
  • Delivers and give out all types of mail.
  • Provides receiving and shipping tasks of the United Parcel mail.
  • Provides courier services for equipment, furniture, medical supplies and other related items.
  • Orders, unloads, returns, packs and even labels various equipment and supplies.
  • Rotates and issues requisitioned stock.
  • With the use of a computer, encodes important data to record information in equipment.   supplies and even forms.
  • Performs yearly inventories of fixed assets
  • Operates a fork lift for the delivery of equipment and supplies.
  • Answers to all requests from staff members for office of company building repairs.
  • Lifts and transports heavy and bulky household appliances and furniture.

Skills and Specifications

  • Able to read and perform written and verbal type of instructions.
  • Must be able to learn inventory control and storeroom procedures and methods.
  • Be able to learn how to repair and maintain minor building works.
  • Must know how to maintain computerized reports and records as well as forms.
  • Be able to pay full attention to details.
  • Must know how to operate various types of office equipment, devices, gadgets and hand tools.
  • Able to learn various types of day-to-day duties.
  • Be able to write and compose letters and notes.
  • Must observe safe driving practices and work procedures.
  • Must know how to operate fork lift.
  • Be able to maintain and establish working relationships with coworkers and general public.

Education and Qualifications

  • At least a year of relevant experience performing some of the following mailroom services and tasks such as delivery and courier services, storekeeping and even receiving and shipping.
  • Possesses valid State Driver’s License (Class C).
