Handy Person Job Profile and Description

A Handy Person plays a very essential role in the day-to-day activities of residential and as well as commercial facilities. The role of a person in this position is to multitask and assist in the smooth execution of numerous daily activities. Such recruits work under the supervision of a manager and are required to function based on the particular task assigned to them.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the day-to-day activities of residential and commercial establishments.
  • Effectively completing all types of works relating to plumbing, electrical, delivery of goods, documents etc.
  • Effectively completing all tasks as assigned by the supervising authority.
  • Efficiently managing time and meeting all specified deadlines.
  • Ensuring proper billing and invoicing of the service provided.
  • Interacting with clients / office staff to understand their requirements thoroughly.
  • Following all necessary safety and precautionary measures for conducting electrical carpentry and other such works.
  • Coordinating work processes with other departments of the organization.
  • Ensuring the availability of all raw materials, tools, spare parts and other equipments for doing repair works.

Skills and Specifications

  • Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with customers.
  • Ability to multi – task and effectively manage time and meet deadlines.
  • Sound understanding of using all types of repair tools, equipments and machinery.

Education and Qualifications

  • High school degree, diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
  • Should have minimum 2 – 3 years of experience of working as a handy person.
