Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • The student ambassador of a college has to provide prospective students customer service when they come to campus in a bid to choose a college.
  • He has to answer various questions from students or their parents about the college, its courses and facilities.
  • He will have to talk to students about life on campus and provide insights into college life.
  • It is his aim to enroll students in the college by letting them know about its history, alma mater, faculty and courses.
  • He has to provide assistance in planning various events and programs of the students and alumni that takes place on the campus.
  • He may have to attend workshops for ambassador professional development.
  • He will have to take part in ambassador meetings held monthly.
  • He will have to act as a guide on campus tours for prospective students of the college and their parents.

  • A student ambassador should possess exceptional communication skills to be successful in this profession.
  • Very good interpersonal skills are a must in this profession.
  • An ability to gain the confidence of others is also important.
