Construction Business Development Manager Job Profile and Description

A Construction Business Development Manager is responsible for scheduling, directing, and managing a wide variety of construction traits, inclusive of commercial, residential and industrial edifice, schools and hospitals.

Construction manager may oversee the entire project or a part. He is also involved in timely management of all structures and procedures such as choosing, hiring as well as overseeing the trade.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and supervising the project from the conceptual development stage through final construction, makes sure that the projects gets done timely.
  • Parleying contracts and subcontractors, arranging subcontractor work and construction development.
  • Ensuring that the projects are built in accordance with the plans, terms, owner’s requisites and favorable construction terms.
  • Ensuring adherence to federal and state convenience values.
  • Attaining permits and approvals from federal, states and local allowing establishments.
  • Assisting in due diligence reviews for prospective new property acquisition(s)
  • Supervising site superintendent and laborers and coordinating tenants’ relocation, when required.

Skills and Specifications

  • Contribute in long-short term planning of the organization as a member of construction management team.
  • Demonstrate commitment to high professional ethical standards
  • Must have a solid background in building science, business and management.
  • Familiar with construction methods, materials and regulation.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in construction preferably a civil engineer from an accredited institution.
  • 2-3 years experience in construction of buildings.
