A fashion designer functions to create the latest designs, develops the unique styles of fabrication by using the diverse colours & adornment articles and is responsible for the designing latest trendy apparels. Arranging for the required cloth material along with the articles, drawing & cutting the original pattern & stuff and contacting the textile houses for updating them with the latest apparels are some of the major job responsibilities of a fashion designer. Therefore, a fashion designer must pose effective creative skills, management abilities and experience of handling initial level complications.

• Creative skills to draft and implement the innovative designs according to the latest trend by using the new technology and colourful patterns.
• Effective communication skills to deal with the potential customers, coordinating with the garment retailers for placing the newly manufactured apparels.
• Leadership ability to deal with the designing team members, educating them by organizing the meetings and conducting the training programs to train them.
• Good knowledge of using the designing tools, instruments and machines required for initiating the designing process and for completing the garment manufacturing procedures.
• Experience of putting a requirement for the needed fabric, articles, accessory material and other raw materials, etc.
• Ability to judge the quality of thread, texture of clothes and quantity of the required materials.
• Sound knowledge of organizing fashion shows, maintaining a good relationship with the models and other costume designers.
• Specialization in designing the swimming attires, sports & kids wear, ladies & gentlemen corporate wear along with other dresses.
